Good news for companies in the region, as they were recently joined by matchmaker Maxicon. At peak times, emergencies or staff shortages, the outsourcing company deploys professional technicians to companies. Not insignificant now that the demand for technical talent is so high everywhere.

"The combination of technical knowledge and a positive attitude among our employees always helps us make the right match," says Business Unit Manager Martina Di Paolo.

Partner in difficult sector

In West and East Flanders, Maxicon is no stranger. The company was founded in 2015 by Emmanuel Bekaert, who at the time started as a technician himself. So he knows better than anyone else where the needs in the sector are greatest. Six years later, Maxicon - under the slogan 'We don't want to be the biggest, but the best' - has grown into a permanent partner of a lot of companies. A success story that now has a sequel in Limburg.

"Since September, we have been located in Genk, the epicentre of bustling Limburg and with good accessibility for our technicians. From here, we offer an answer to the technical obstacles faced by regional companies," Martina explains. Extra technical hands in companies with machinery, for example, or for locating and repairing breakdowns in production companies. Maxicon also steps in during shutdowns.

"We put our ear to the ground and see what needs there are. Whether it's electricians, mechanics, breakdown technicians or welders: we provide the right match for both long-term and temporary projects. We assist in a market where technical staff are very hard to find, provide support in large projects or accommodate long-term sick employees."

Flexibility and attitude

That the need is high is proven by Maxicon's growth. Two successful job days ensure that this growth can continue. "Among other things, we select on flexibility and attitude. Our employees must fit in with the companies where we employ them and are also eager for varied work. They therefore do not need a long familiarisation period. In addition, they end up in a family atmosphere, with the necessary team building and events. This ensures that they come to work with pleasure, which is also reflected with our customers."

Upon arrival in Limburg, Maxicon sent a symbolic birth card to several potential customers. Those who have already had a first introductory meeting also received christening sugar. "In any case, we hope to continue unburdening new companies in their search for technical talent in the coming months."
